London Youth Games 2025 – Celebrating 45 Years of Youth Sports in London

The London Youth Games 2025 are back—and they’re bigger than ever! As Europe’s largest youth multi-sport competition, the Games give young people across London the chance to take part in something truly special. Open to anyone aged 7 to 18, the event runs for nine months each year and brings together teams from all 32 London boroughs, plus the City of London.

Each year, around 50 events take place, from early qualifying rounds to exciting finals held at London’s most iconic venues—including the Olympic Park and the Aquatics Centre. Best of all, it’s completely free to join.

If you live or go to school in Wandsworth, this is your chance to join Team Wandsworth, the current Inner London Trophy holders and three-time winners of the overall Jubilee Trophy.

This year’s Games are extra special as they mark the 45th anniversary of the very first London Youth Games, launched in 1977 to celebrate Queen Elizabeth II’s Silver Jubilee.

Inclusivity is a major focus this year with a new three-tier entry system—Aspire, Inspire, and Higher—designed to open the competition to even more young people of different skill levels. With 25 sports on offer, including badminton, judo, rowing, archery, and para sports like para athletics, para football, and para swimming, there’s a chance for everyone to get involved.

Over 100,000 young Londoners take part in the Games every year, making it one of the UK’s most exciting celebrations of youth sport.

The event also has an incredible legacy—past participants include stars like Mo Farah, Raheem Sterling, and Dina Asher-Smith. You could be next! Or maybe you’ll simply enjoy improving your skills and taking part in something unforgettable.

If you’d like to represent Team Wandsworth, sign up for upcoming trials using the online form on our website: London Youth Games: Enable (enablelc.org). Once you register, our team will get in touch.

Please note: to join Team Wandsworth, you must either live or go to school in the borough. Each sport has its own eligibility rules for age and ability.
