NFL and YouTube Celebrate International Games with Star-Studded Flag Football Showdown in London

The NFL and YouTube have announced an all-star lineup for “NFL’s Flag Football Game on YouTube: London Edition,” introducing the Creator Flag Football series to the UK as part of the NFL International Games.

Following the success of the Super Bowl LIX Creator Flag Football Game in New Orleans, the event now heads across the Atlantic for a global showcase at London’s Copper Box Arena on Saturday, October 11. This exciting face-off takes place just ahead of the New York Jets vs. Denver Broncos matchup at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on Sunday, October 12.

The London event highlights the NFL’s mission to expand flag football worldwide and connect new audiences through sports, culture, and entertainment. The game will bring together big names from music, sports, and YouTube—including captains Aitch and Gunna—and will be streamed live exclusively on YouTube starting at 7:00 p.m. BST.

Star-Studded Teams

Team Gunna will feature global flag football star Diana Flores as quarterback, alongside NFL legend Chad “Ochocinco” Johnson, and creators Deestroying, Khaby Lame, Speedy Morman, Jamie Laing, Sam Thompson, and Nella Rose, plus other surprise guests.

Team Aitch will be led by quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick, joined by Adam W, Ashlea Klam, Tommy Fury, SV2, Mabel, Jay Cinco, and European women’s flag football champion Phoebe Schecter.

The NFL’s Global Expansion

Ian Trombetta, NFL Senior Vice President of Social and Influencer Marketing, shared, “After the incredible response to our Creator Flag Football Game at Super Bowl LIX, we’re thrilled to bring that same mix of sport, music, and culture to London. With Aitch, Gunna, NFL icons, and YouTube stars all on one field, it’s a global celebration of the game and its growing community.”

Player Reactions

Gunna said, “I’m ready to bring the energy and lead my team. Partnering with the NFL and YouTube to unite people through sport is special.”

Aitch added, “When the NFL asked me to be captain, I was buzzing. American football has exploded in the UK, and now I get to play alongside athletes, creators, and entertainers from around the world.”

YouTube creator Adam W commented, “Combining my two passions—YouTube and the NFL—is a dream. My fans are loving it, and I can’t wait to get to London, play football, and score some touchdowns.”

Event Coverage and Broadcast

Kay Adams will host the live pregame show, giving fans behind-the-scenes access—from player arrivals to locker room moments. She’ll be joined by NFL legend Maurice Jones-Drew and special guest Dominic Solanke, who will share pregame analysis. During gameplay, Andrew Hawkins will handle play-by-play commentary, while Maya Jama and YouTube creator Duke Dennis add real-time insights.

Alison Lomax, YouTube UK & Ireland Managing Director, said, “Creators are redefining entertainment. Pairing them with major artists and NFL legends will give fans in London—and viewers worldwide—a show to remember. Streaming the game exclusively on YouTube ensures everyone can be part of the action.”

Deestroying and Ross Smith will also simulcast the event on their own channels, reaching even more fans.
