Roles Being Recruited
Emirates is recruiting for three distinct pilot pathways at the London Gatwick roadshow:
First Officer
Entry-level command role for experienced commercial pilots joining Emirates from other carriers. Candidates will be assessed on their flying hours, type ratings, and overall commercial aviation background.
Direct Entry Captain
For highly experienced pilots with significant command hours seeking to join Emirates at captain level without completing the standard internal progression pathway.
Accelerated Command Programme
A structured development pathway for First Officers who demonstrate the capability and potential for accelerated progression to captain rank, typically within a shorter timeframe than the standard promotional route.

The Emirates Fleet and Network
Emirates operates one of the most modern all-widebody commercial fleets in the world, flying exclusively the Airbus A380 and Boeing 777 variants on a global network spanning six continents. The airline has placed significant orders for next-generation aircraft that will define its fleet over the coming decade:
Airbus A350: Emirates has taken delivery of 27 aircraft from a total order of 74, with a further 47 yet to be delivered. The A350 represents a new type for Emirates pilots, adding a third aircraft type to the fleet alongside the 777 and A380.
Boeing 777X: Emirates has 270 Boeing 777X aircraft on order — one of the largest single aircraft orders in commercial aviation history. The 777X has not yet entered Emirates service, meaning the airline is preparing a substantial pilot training and transition programme ahead of deliveries.
