London, UK: The first ever Lady Mayor’s Ride Out, sponsored by Triumph Motorcycles took place today bringingtogether almost 120 motorcycle riders in support of The Lord Mayor’s Appeal.
Part of the trailblazing Lady Mayor’s ‘Unsquare the Square Mile’ campaign, replacing traditional horses and dress,for Triumph motorbikes and leathers, the Ride Out invited motorcycle enthusiasts to ride from St Pauls to Essex – led out of the City by The Lady Mayor, a trio of Triumph female ambassadors and City of London Police.
The Lady Mayor Dame Susan Langley said, “Swapping the traditional ride out on horseback for a pack of motorcyclists was a bold decision and I’m thrilled we pulled it off in style. Thank you to the team at The Lord Mayor’s Appeal for turning our idea into a spectacular reality and to Triumph Motorcycleswho added that much needed va va voom to the day. Events like this show just how un-square the Square Mile really is!”
Featuring riders from the motorcycle community in London and beyond, Triumph ambassadors SallyHaDin & Deimante andThe Lady Mayor Dame Susan Langley riding pillion with Emma Franklin, Chief Editor of Motorcycle News, the Ride Out wowed City spectators.
A pack of almost 120 bikes raced out of the City to a Cherry Orchid Farm in Essex location for a BBQ reception in supportof The Lord Mayor’s Appeal. The charitable heart of the City of London’s Mayoralty, The Appeal aims to champion a City that Cares through partnerships and fundraising events, creating better opportunities for people to work and thrive and prosper in our vibrantcity.
